I just picked up an Epiphone Casino Coupe in a local trade. I've owned and enjoyed many of Epiphone's hollow/semi-hollow guitars (several Dots, several Sheratons, several Joe Pass Emperors, at least one Broadway, an Emperor Regent, and a Riviera P93)... but surprisingly, never a Casino or a Casino Coupe. Well, one thing everyone can get behind is a high-quality, US-made Epiphone Casino—which Gibson has quietly unveiled at its booth at the NAMM 2020 show. Two Made-In-USA Casinos are on display right next to the Texans, one sporting a classy Vintage Burst finish and the other in a Royal Tan. But that's all the available info right now. Epiphone's original semi-acoustic, the Casino has changed little over the years. The combination of the hollow body and twin P90 pickups deliver a warm yet bright sound that sparkles. Britt Lightning demos the new Epiphone Muse Guitars. Joe Bonamassa demos his new "Black Beauty" Les Paul Custom Nancy Wilson talks about her new Epiphone "Fanatic" Epiphone Casino Review. PROS: Great fit and finish; fantastic neck; highly responsive and articulate P90 pickups. CONS: None. PRICE: $599 w/out case. The Casino has been around for decades, first brought to worldwide fame by the Beatles. Since then, Epiphone’s production has moved around the globe a few times, first from America to Japan, then to ... Top 10 Best Epiphone Guitars in 2021 Ultimate Review. January 26, ... The Epiphone Casino has a lot of tonal range to offer and can easily switch from a clean tones to distortion. ... That brings me to the Current Epiphone Casino. Best guess is it will have a Gibson USA price, but the thing that Puzzles me about it is, like a lot of people said, why aren’t they making it in the the style of John and George’s Casinos, the most well known models. The Epiphone Casino has long been a mainstay of rock 'n' roll, and has been wielded by the likes of Howlin' Wolf, Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones, and John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison of The Beatles. As such, the new take remains fairly similar to the classic '60s design. While the calibre and heritage of Epiphone's discontinued, USA-made John Lennon 1965 Casino can hardly be questioned, it had one major drawback: the price! Retailing on the cusp of £2000, for many guitarists not even the high build quality could compensate. This tale isn't unique among Epiphone's American-made guitars.Keen to redress the balance for those with smaller pockets, Epiphone has ... A favorite of Gary Clark, Jr., Dwight Trash and, most famously, John Lennon, the Epiphone Casino is a true classic. With a fully hollow thinline body and punchy P-90s, the current reissue gets all the twang and scream of the original. Great for country, blues, jazz and lighter indie.
